There are a few tips that I can give you on how to write for money, one is by setting up your own website in a profitable niche market, create awesome content that will attract people to your site.

You then monetize your site by creating affiliate links to products and services that will earn you a commission from online sales.

Your second option is when you have created enough content that is attracting traffic to your site you could set up an online store that sells products relevant to your niche.

You can do one of two things with your store, fill it with affiliate products meaning that your only responsibility is to write enough content to bring website visitors that click on the affiliate links in your online store, if they click and purchase you get paid a commission.

My advice before you jump in and start writing a blog about the first thing that comes into your head is STOP and THINK!!

You may be the best writer in the world, and you may know a lot about a subject but is it enough to start writing a blog that has the potential to make money for you?

• What structure will you use for your blog?
• What is the purpose of your blog?

• Have you enough knowledge about your chosen blog?
• Can you write for your blog day after day?

• How will your blog make money?

Your central message

It’s ok having a blog but you need to have a central message in your blog, for example if you want to write a blog about making money your central message is how to learn to make ,money on the internet.

Your whole blog will be dedicated to the best strategies that people should use to make money on the world wide web.

Blog structure

Every successful blogger will tell you that to begin with a very clear structure so for example at the beginning of your blog post you create your introduction to the blog topic,.

Next you have the body of your blog where your central message is and lastly you have a conclusion where you summarize the main points from the introduction and the body of your blog post.

Paragraphs

Use short paragraphs of roughly four to five lines, start the paragraph with a beginning a middle and end, in other words each paragraph is a mini version of the whole blog, make it logical clear and easy to understand.

Headings

Headings are used to bring structure to the entire blog or page, use them not just for your blog readers benefit but or SEO purposes as well.

A well laid out blog with strategic placement of headers can help the main search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo to better understand what exactly your blog is about this method will help your rankings.

Make your blog user friendly so that your blog followers will have no difficulty finding any of your blog posts use subheadings to direct people to certain sections of your blog, use your keyword tool to find relevant keywords for the topic of your blog.

Put your keyword in the first heading use the H1 option, place your keyword throughout your blog post but do it so that it fits into your content in a natural way, don’t overdo it, a good rule of thumb is a keyword density of 1-3 %.

Signal words

A signal word is a word or phrase that gives a person an idea of what to expect next, for example you are driving your car you see a stop sign so you know that you have to bring your vehicle up to the sign and stop to allow other traffic to pass.

Use signal words in your blog post to indicate to the reader that you mean to go in a different direction with your central point, so you could use a signal word like nevertheless or finally or consequently to bring the blog reader to a different point that you want to make.

How long should your blog post be?

There are divided opinions on the what is the perfect length of a blog post, to be honest it’s not really all about the length of the post, it’s possible to write a blog post of more than 2500 words but it could be full of duplicate content or content written in another way.

This won’t be valuable to the blog reader nor will it help with the search engine rankings, the simple message that I want to convey to you is write a blog post that contains enough information on the blog subject that keeps your blog reader satisfied enough to make them want to come back and read your next blog post.

Before you start your blog I recommend that you open up an excel spreadsheet to keep the full information on each blog post that you write, for example keep the keyword, the blog category and the URL, you will need these so that when you write a new blog post you can link it to an older post.

Google and the other search engines like to see internal links, there are a few reasons for this:

• It makes the post more authoritative
• You have link structure
• More user friendly
• Important for ranking

My recommendation is that you link to as many other posts within your blog as you think is reasonable, the more the better, it shows that you know what you are talking about.

How often should you blog?

All the best bloggers recommend that you should write a minimum of three blog posts a week, of course you will find this hard if you have a full time job, at the start you will be full of enthusiasm and excitement and your first lot of blog posts will flow easily.

The search engines are starting to notice your blog posts and people are finding your content, but your visitor numbers aren’t enough to make enough sales.

Audience definition

This is where you start to analyse your audience and their wants and needs, if it is the money making need then you mustn’t deviate from this theme, concentrate on the questions that you would ask yourself if you wanted to make a living online, tailor your blog content to suit the needs of your audience.

Get inside their heads

Try and analyse the type of questions that this target market would be asking for example

• How can I make money online?
• Show me how to start an online business?
• What is the best way to make an online income?

Just answer in as much detail as you can to these and other questions, write in detail to the highest possible standard make yourself an expert in your niche blog. When you learn how to become an authority in your niche the number of people visiting your blog will grow exponentially!

It is your name that goes behind all your blog posts, so make sure that you focus on quality 100% of the time, that way you will be rewarded by higher rankings.
