How to make money using my computer?

It’s a great question how to make money using my computer and one that I have thought about for many years but I could never find a genuine way to make money working on my computer until now.

Of course there are many scams on the internet and trust me I have handed over hard earned cash to people on the world wide web who promised me a lot but failed to deliver.

Have you lost money?

It’s not a nice feeling when you work hard to save some money and you have an entrepreneurial streak in you that makes you want to have a side line.

Something that you can do in your spare time by working on your computer to make some extra money working from home.

So what do you do? you search online for money making ideas that involve using your computer and let’s be honest most of us will jump at the first shiny object that looks appealing it usually goes something like this,

” I started my online business with a few hundred bucks and I made a million within the first year”

Most of us want the easy way so we jump in a give this guy some cash and launch into whatever he is selling without any thought as to whether there is a niche market for the product or service.

Has anybody ever told you that making money was easy? well making money was never easy, especially on the internet where people attention span is becoming shorter and shorter, this means if you want to make money on your computer you are going to need some training right?

Let me introduce you to Wealthy Affiliate, after many attempts to make money on my computer working from home my experience told me that I needed something that would teach me how to make money eventually.

But first I had to learn how to build a website, how to research a niche that I could actually write some about , how to create unique quality content that people will read, how to get Google to love what I write, and finally how to get paid for writing.

CI’m so glad that I found Wealthy Affiliate I can honestly say for the first time in my life since I joined Wealthy Affiliate I feel that I am creating a passive income for myself that will take me happily into my retirement years.

Well first off its run by two very nice people Kyle and Carson, they are two Canadian guys that went to College together to study computers.

In other words if you or me decide to write unique engaging valuable content on our websites, visitors come they like what they read they click on your affiliate link, they buy a product or service and the next thing you know you are making money online!

Affiliate marketing

Have you heard of affiliate marketing? I had heard of it but I wasn’t quite sure how it worked, basically affiliate marketing has a few components to it, first off somebody like you or me want to build a website usually working from home, a website based on a subject that we know something about for example maybe you have a passion for vintage cars or gardening or football.

So you find out how to build a website based around your interest. The idea is that there must be other people around the world that have a similar interest to you and they want someone they can trust to provide useful I formation for them, a resource if you like.

How do you make money this way?

Ok so you have written some quality content and people are starting to find your website as they type in keywords related to you niche.

Perhaps you have made a recommendation for a product that people will find useful.

This is where affiliate marketing comes in, if you are going to recommend a product or service to your website visitors then you might ad well get paid for it! So you do that by going to Amazon.com as an example, you sign up for the Amazon associates program, follow the instructions in there and get a link to the recommended product that you have on your site.

Linking

The Amazon link comes in different forms, so it could be an image of the product or just a hyperlink, copy the code and paste it into your website page in the recommended product area, click save and test the link to make sure it works!

The next thing that potentially happens is someone comes to you site they like your recommendation they click on the Amazon link and they presto they may place an order for that product.

You earn a commission for the sale of that product that is payed into your bank account or Amazon send you a cheque when the total amount of commissions reach a threshold set by you.

Content marketing

Content marketing means that you must write unique quality content for your website visitors so that they will be able to find you on Google, Bing, Yahoo or other search engines by typing a keyword word into the search bar, I’m sure you have done this yourself many times, you write in the search bar words that will help you to find what you are looking for.

Keywords

These words are known as keywords so for example a person could type in a keyword like this ” best vintage cars” so how do they find your website?

First off you will have done some free training on keyword research using the free keyword research tool Jaxxy this keyword tool is easy to use it will help you to find popular keywords that people use to find websites they are interested in. They will only find your website if you have done your keyword research used a popular keyword related to your niche site and you have written content based on that keyword.

How many words do you have to write?

Google the biggest search engine in the world and one that you will be working closely with likes content on a website to be at least 1,000 words long and up to 3,000 words on each page,.

They feel that any subject needs to be thoroughly explained to the website visitor, you will also need to add pictures or videos to you page to make it more interesting for your visitor.

Remember the longer the website visitor stays on your site the higher Google will rank your site, this is important when it comes to making money from your website.
