How to work from home and make money online

When you say the words “work from home and make money online” it has a kind of nice feeling to it, those words “work from home” seem to me to mean a lot more than for example waking up at 5am in the morning so that you can be in time for work at 9am.

Then after work you leave at 5pm and you don’t get home until 7 or 7.30 pm because you have had to get into your car to face the rush hour traffic, or take public transport that takes ages to get you home.

Does that sound familiar to you?

Imagine that you have young children that need to be dropped off to school and picked up after school, how difficult it can be to work fulltime in a 9-5 job and be there for your children when they are so young.

On the other hand perhaps you don’t have any children of your own but you are stuck in a job that you hate, you hate your boss (most bosses are hard to like because they are the BOSS!!!) or you don’t see how you can change your life for the better.

Have you considered working from home and making money online? Perhaps you have thought about this in the past or maybe you have tried to make money online and for different reasons it didn’t work out for you.

During my life I have been that soldier I thought that I could combine a full-time job rear a family with my wife and be able to provide an extra income for our household by making money online.

eBay & Amazon Seller

You may be aware that it is somewhat easy to become a seller on eBay or Amazon, it is relatively easy to open a seller account maybe you have sold personal stuff on eBay in the past and discovered that people actually buy a lot of stuff on eBay and Amazon.

When I started selling firstly on Amazon, I sold some seaweed beauty products, basically I would do the work of listing the products on Amazon and when orders came in, I would contact my seaweed beauty products supplier with the order and he would ship the order for me. Sounds simple doesn’t it?

I had a free run for a while until somebody else started selling the same product for a lower price, I thought what am I going to do here, will I drop my price to compete or and earn less money or will I look for other products to sell instead?

Business decision

In any business you have to make decisions all the time to keep the business going, so I looked around the Amazon site and I found other products that were in a completely different category but I wasn’t sure if Amazon would allow them to be sold because of their adult nature.

Anyway, I decided to give it a go I listed the products and I waited with bated breath to see what their reaction would be, PHEW!

They allowed the products to be listed, I thought that their product filters were out of action! the products sold very well, again I wasn’t holding any stock, so I didn’t need to have a lot of capital to get started.

Sales were good over a period of about three months until the dreaded filters kicked in, I got an email from Amazon saying that I was prohibited from selling adult products on their website.

Feeling down

I genuinely thought that I was on to a winning internet business, my hopes were dashed after I received that email from Amazon, I was feeling a little bit down but not for long!

I opened an eBay seller account I contacted a natural supplement supplier; the deal was that I bought product from them at a discounted price and sold it on eBay or Amazon.

Again, the sales were starting to flow bit by bit I could see a steady income coming from my activities on Amazon and eBay, however it wasn’t to be.

Other sellers would list the same products on the same sites as me at a lower price of course people looking at the same product from two or more sellers will always go for the lower price.

Forex Trading

When my efforts at making a money online as a reseller of product didn’t work out I looked around for other ways to work from home and make money online I spotted an ad that said “Make a fortune trading Forex on the Markets” the headline caught my attention so I looked into it further.

I always think that I can be successful at whatever I do Forex trading seemed pretty simple, in foreign exchange markets the value of a particular currency goes up and goes down, all I had to do was figure when was this going to HAPPEN and place my money on my judgement.

It was so easy to open up a trial Forex trading account whereby you could make a bet on a currency going up or down on any given day, it seemed effortless the training was quite detailed and had to be studied so that you could understand how markets actually work.

I thought that I knew it all after a couple of weeks I was making money in my FREE trading account, but it wasn’t real money! I was tempted to put some real money (about $1,000) into a real trading account.

You probably can guess where I am going with this, my dream ended in tears, I lost all the money and some.

I had my disappointments in trying to learn how work from home and make money online what I learned from my mistakes I decided to put to good use as I looked around for my next online money-making opportunity.
